Fishing together in the Gulf of Maine has inspired Holly and David to share their many sea stories, from harvesting lobsters, scallops, shrimp, and groundfish with visitors of Mount Desert Island (MDI).
By playing an 18-hole round of mini golf, guests will experience a fun way to learn about the Gulf of Maine and gain an appreciation for coastal communities and fishermen while getting up close and personal with live sea creatures.

Visitors to Mount Desert Island are looking for unique and inexpensive things to do. From small children to old-timers adults, those visiting MDI want to be close to the ocean and learn about the thriving Gulf of Maine. The Golf of Maine will provide a fun, inspiring, and learning adventure through miniature golf, food trucks, and a small gift shop at an affordable price. It will provide lasting memories and knowledge from their trip to Southwest Harbor.
Welcome to Mini Golf in Maine
Our course features gorgeous views of the western mountains of Mount Desert Island, rock gardens, fountains, ponds, and a waterfall! The course includes features of different sea creature art from the Gulf of Maine include chainsaw art and resin statues. We have a rowboat, a small day cruiser vessel and are adding lots of fishing treasures in display cases and new stories.

Golf of Maine is conveniently located next door to Acadia National Park and just minutes from downtown Southwest Harbor and the working waterfront. Ferry service to the Cranberry Islands is less than 5 minutes away. The Gulf of Maine is bordered by Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. It covers 93,000 square kilometers (36,000 square miles) of ocean and has 12,000 kilometers (7,500 miles) of coastline!

Major invertebrate fisheries located in the Gulf of Maine include those for Northern shrimp, ocean quahog, Atlantic surf clam, American sea scallop, and Atlantic lobster.

The seagrass beds of the Gulf of Maine are home to winter flounder, Atlantic cod, Mytilus edulis, and bay scallops.
